Closet doors opened. My dad's eyes opened wide in terror. I was about four at the time. The face peering at us was ugly and not human but not necessarily evil or kind. My father may have had his memory blocked. He claimed he didn't remember years later. I never will forget 212x on a road that I am not allowed to name, but it was in Careybrook in Hampton, Virginia. It was the road right before Newton Road.

own. We lived in both units at different times. Both were haunted by something. My family members don't remember. I was the youngest and remember it like

it was an hour ago. It was the late 60s and early 70s. I will continue to remember these episodes because I am supposed to for some reason. I am the only family member who is and the only one who is still willing to admit it, and I don't blame the other family members for shutting it out.
