Copper Road (was Rte 727), off of Rte 39, 12 or so miles outside of Lexington. Descend to river. Old home at bottom of hill on left, has a big deck. Can't tell if it is still there on google earth but that was an odd place. An overwhelming smell would suddenly appear (one room in particular) and disappear just as suddenly. Could wake you from a dead sleep. The smell would move around the house, you could literally take one step and be beyond it, then step

back into it.
Objects disappeared so often we had the locks changed. It didn't help. Pens left on desks, gone then back. Clothes disappeared and reappeared.

Just an air of dread sometimes so oppressive would grab a motel to get away. Some people saw an old woman sitting in the original cabin portion of the home. Enter the home and not there. One fella lived there went pretty much off the rails for several years. Really bad place. House was quite susceptible to flooding so not sure it is still standing. .
