Comment by Local: Many people have seen this shadow figure at that area. I myself have seen it one night crossing from the cemetery to the old farmhouse.

Back in 1975 I spent a night in a plantation in Louisa County. While I was trying to go to sleep I clearly heard walking and running above the room but there wasn't another level to the house; only a widows walk.

This scared me so much that I just sat up in the bed wondering if it would ever stop. Then the little dog that had come with us started simpering and I looked towards the door and saw a huge red glowing ball of light float by the room into the next room and back to my doorway.
I was so scared that I got under the covers then very clearly heard footsteps come up alongside the bed. Chills washed over me and I yelled to my friend next to me to please wake up because someone was in the room but he said he saw nobody.
This house wherever it is in that county has a cemetery on the grounds. It was the most frightened I've been my entire life. That walking and running sound went on up until dawn when I finally fell asleep.
