While walking on Belle Isle summer of 2013 on the dirt path / road on the side where the old power plant was I heard footsteps behind me. There was no one else on the path near me. Turned around and kept walking again a shuffling footsteps as if one was dragging their feet was heard again.
Turned and nothing. I said out loud go away, be at peace. Hairs on my arms stood up and I felt a chill run through me. Kept walking further; did not hear any more shuffling or footsteps again.

I grew up in Richmond, Henrico County.. off of Woodman Rd. Our home was extremely active while we were growing up, now it's relatively quiet with just my parents there. It's not an old home, probably 1960s. The small things were walking / footsteps upstairs when no one was up there, hearing the storm door slam when locked.
It slammed hard enough to shake the house. My first personal experience was around the age of 14-15, I was watching a popular show on USA around 11-12 at night. My closed door opened and I saw a tall figure standing there with a hat on, not thinking too much I waved and said ''hey daddy'', the door slammed shut.
Getting my nerve up I walked to my door and opened it, the hall was dark and cold and both my parents were sound asleep in their room snoring. Another time I was out and my sister had company over.
