I will call him Lunch Bucket Man. My personal ghost encounter happened late one night in West Salem back in the early 1980s. I was a typical college kid leaving my girlfriend's house in Salem and heading back to my parent's home in Roanoke. My route took me to I-81 north from Route 11 north via Wildwood Road. It was late. For those readers familiar with the old Wildwood Inn, a roadhouse of some infamy; it had already closed for the night. I was pretty

much the only car on the road. In those days I had superior eyesight before the ravages of time and computer monitor use had taken their toll. I could

easily discern objects at distances when others could not. I could clearly focus on the tiniest object right at the end of my nose. In my youth there was absolutely nothing wrong with my visual capabilities. Today I am an aging old guy with bifocals.
As I approached the ramp from Wildwood Road at a distance I could see someone standing beside the road a few yards up the ramp on the inside. As I got closer and started to make the turn I could
