Phenomena are seen in Carrollton (part of Isle Of Wight county) as well, especially on Sugar Hill Road. Phantom shadows have been seen moving in front of trees by the road in wooded areas. They have been seen standing in the middle of the road to Sugar Hill Road and standing in peoples front yards at night. Submitted by Leigh

When I was a teen my family lived in a house in Moone Plantation. The nightmares started the very first week: shadows standing in the windows, fires, and lots of death. I had never had such vivid violent dreams in my life and have not had them since moving away. My sisters would see children standing in their bedroom. My baby brother would cry as he would tell my mom in his broken baby talk about a shadow man with a hat.

I remember hating my parents' bedroom; it felt evil, and their master bathroom was worse. I would never go in there unless I absolutely had to. I remember feeling that I was being watched in my bedroom all the time as waking up in the middle of the light with my bedroom light on, only for it to turn off the second I realized it was on.
A ceramic cross my parents received as a gift flew off the wall the day after they hung it up. A relief of Mary and Jesus that was kept on the stairs would be constantly found lying face down on the floor a few feet away exactly in the middle of the stairs perfectly straight but face down. I would find it when I got home from school. I started keeping a Bible and under my pillow to keep me safe at night. Then the demonic characters in my dreams would start to interact with me and talk to me directly. That house never felt like home the entire five years we lived there. Submitted by SM
