Sometimes it started off reddish orange in color- other times white. It traveled down the tracks about 3 to 4 feet from the ground. When it appeared it seemed to come around a slight bend in the tracks back in the distance.

Myself and a friend had hear about the lights in West Point so we decided to go and see if it was for real. This was in the winter of 1973 and my uncle was sheriff at the time so I felt we were safe from being run off.
