The most talked about haunted place in Wytheville is the house of Dr. Paul Morin. It was owned by the brother of a famous general during the Civil War. There was an orphanage across the street that burned down and everyone died except one nun. She lived with the soldiers in the house and became ill and died. To this day numerous people have seen the nun. A drug rep stayed at the house one night a few years back and woke up in the middle of the

Dr. Morin's office saw the nun following Dr. Morin down the hall one morning, and it should be noted that the nurse practitioner is a pastor and didn't believe in ghosts. Dr. Morin has never personally seen the ghost, but many others have.
