There is a ghost tree off of Back Mountain leading into Cass. One night I was a passenger, and they decided to go at around midnight. We parked near the tree and didn't see anything but felt extra weight climb on the car. We drove on. When we reached Cass, the lights from the train station revealed handprint on the windshield and other glass proving that there was someone on the car.
I was told it was Heavenly Hatchet who eloped in the 1960s. Her new

husband was drunk. It was late at night when they got hitched. He hit that tree, and both died on impact. On Halloween I've been told that you can see

her, a woman in her late teens with her head clean off from the wreck in a bloody white wedding dress.
It caused one of the locals to wreck one night, and he cut the tree down. He burned the wood in his wood stove, and the house burned down. That's what I was told. One things for certain I believe and experienced the Heavenly Hatchet ghost that night.
