My girlfriend and I were driving through little Sandy Creek in Elkview in late September 2016. Around five miles in I saw this figure standing along the hillside on the right hand side of the road. It was around 11:00 pm, so I began to slow down to avoid hitting what I thought was a person. Just then the figure crossed road from left to right very quickly. It crossed to the point where I could just barely see it from my driver side window. In shock I asked

my girlfriend if she saw it, and to my surprise she said ''yes.'' She described it just as I had seen it. What we saw was a very tall slender figure wearing

a long (down to mid thigh) light brown coat as the buttons and square pockets were easily distinguishable. We could tell the figure had a head, but the face along with most of the body was illuminated by very bright white light.
Skeptical, I convinced myself that what I just witnessed was nothing more than my headlights reflecting off of the hillside (since I'm generally the one who makes fun of people who believe in ghosts.) As I continued driving
