I live in Bolivar, and there's a story about a house on Potomac Street in the historic part of Harpers Ferry. Apparently, soldiers were sending children over from the Maryland side into Harpers Ferry to spy on the enemy. Soldiers in HF had caught on to this, and a teenage boy was chased through town. He tried to hide in a house, and he ran in to a meeting where all the higher-ups were planning for the next battle. The boy was killed immediately.
The Ghost Tour guy likes to stop by this house and say that people move in and out all the time because of the boy who was killed, but the house is also 30 feet from the train tracks. We always used to make fun of the ghost tour, but I've been inside that place. It feels like someone is following you when you walk up the stairs. It's divided into 4 apartments now, and people do move in and out frequently. Last month, the resident who had lived there the longest/most consistently died because of a drug overdose. That house gives me the creeps.

It was in 2011, an ordinary day where my best friend and I decided to have a sleepover. Now her family is way into paranormal activity so when she told me that she saw a ghost I thought she was just trying to get attention. Although when I stayed the night at her house and we were talking her door would shake... Like something was trying to get in, we locked it because her little brother and sister always bug us so we figured it was them.
