I live in Beartown WV. Me and a friend of mine were at the Roderfield Cemetery just goofing around. We were just teenagers at the time just looking around the place at graves, and seeing who were buried there. All of a sudden we looked up on the hillside, and what we saw was a very scary image. It was about eight feet tall and smoky just a shadow. I have never been back there to find out what is was, and do not plan on ever going back. That was what I guess

I've told this story many times and unless something like it has ever happened to you then I don't expect you to believe me. I used to live in Avondale WV up in the hollow of Grapevine. My dad built the house I grew up in and I always felt safe in our little house we made a home.
One night I found myself the only soul awake and needed to go use the bathroom. I was 13 years old I do believe and far from being afraid of the dark and all the stories that go along with it. I wasn't much scared of things like that in fact I was always interested in ghost stories and creepy things of such nature.
We had an old coal stove we used for heating in our living room and after I used the bathroom I went to get back on the couch and started to cover myself up and that's when I noticed this figure standing at the stove and it took on the form of my mother but it wasn't.
