My older brother was riding a horse at the mouth of bull creek (which is Mohawk) and something jumped behind him on the horse and rode all the way up bull creek until they got to the forks of the road and the horse was traveling so fast it through it off.
My brother came home and was terrified. I remember this when I was a kid. We never did find out what it was.

It is said in the late nights in lower Mohawk you can sit on your porch and hear the hoves of horses and a buggy coming down the road. It is said to get louder and louder and as it seems it's going to go right over you it suddenly stops.
