The Southside school is haunted in the boys' locker room in the gym from a creepy guy and a demon.

In the late 1960's they used to let people pitch a tent and camp out at Berwind lake. In the cove area there was a place above the lake and it had tables and a fire place made round of rock that the campers used to keep a nice camp fire and they could pitch their tent and stay all week end.
''today you are not allowed to do that''''. Anyway I was there to fish that night and some of my people had a tent set up and was sleep it was way into the night and the fire was burning low but was still a good camp fire, and a friend and I went to the fishing spot in the cove''it is where the game Wardens house used to be'' I think it is a private residence now anyhow as we were fishing we looked back towards the camp fire and something was hitting the fire as if it was viciously slamming the wood around and hitting at the fireplace for no apparent reason.

We went running up there cause we didn't know what was going on and it quit before we got there and we woke some people up and they said they hadn't seen or herd anything. I'm not calling it a ghost or a vandal I just don't know what it was for sure it wasn't the fire burning making that type of a mess and when we got there nothing was out of place.

I was in the town of War in 88 and was 12 or 13 and I was hearing a lot of ghost stories of a lady that got chopped up at an old well that over flowed. I didn't believe it so the people there asked if I would like to go see her.
Well I did because I was not a believer. Well that night we went there to see. It made me a believer. Very scary sight of a white bottom of a bell dress floating down a trail out of the forest. Everyone there left the van, we went in and ran.
