This is a ghost story that happened back in the late 70s. Me and my sister were sitting on one of the monkey bars at a little park that's located on Gorden Drive SW. It's across the street from our grandmother's house. Well, there's a two-story house that 's right next door to my grandmother's house, and the little old lady whose name was Mrs. Wade she had recently passed away.
We were looking over there when I told my sister that I see Mrs. Wade looking at us. That was when my sister said ''I didn't see her. '' I said ''well, I do'' that was when her whole house was just engulfed with fire! We screamed, got down, and started crossing the street telling grandmother what had just happened. Our grandmother called the fire department, and they were able to save the house. This was so scary. I guess that's what she was trying to tell us.

Comment by Emily: I moved in that house after the fire. Ms. Wade was there. There are so many stories. One night I was sleeping and woke up to the radio in my room with the volume on high. I was in the front bedroom trying to go to sleep, and the upstairs porch door flew open and slammed against the wall. I was in the kitchen, and it sounded like someone was playing with our dog. Then the dog started barking. She was shut in the bathroom, and no one was in the house. My brother was outside and heard woman talking in the kitchen, and when he went in the house no one was home. My mom actually saw her twice. My dad said he would often hear someone moving around upstairs, and no one would be there. I never felt comfortable in that house. I have vowed to never live in another house I am not comfortable in, and I haven't.

I was in the Bankstreet Antique Mall one evening with my husband, it was just about closing time. Us and maybe one more couple was in the store. I was waiting on my husband sitting on the bench by the front door when all of a sudden I smelled motor oil.
