I too had an experience at Fort Morgan. As most if you know or if you do not know many years ago all of the cannons on the grounds were filled with concrete. My friend and I were walking down the front wall like we did everyday for a few months straight. This particular day we were walking we heard shouting in the distance. Then out of nowhere it was like war had started all over again. The cannons had begun firing like they reached the bay landing. We went by the old hanging station and thought somebody was there playing games. We heard moans of a man that sounded like he was in a lot of pain. Needless to say I never went back.

In 1985 or so I got a pass to flounder gig at Johnson beach on the bay side. The road is one way in and one way out. We were the only car in there. We were about 30 yards out in knee deep water. I saw 2 figures moving toward us coming down the beach.

I said to the wife there's 2 people coming she said I see em. Looked like a sea captian with a coat and a top hat on and a kid holding hands. They stopped when they got in front of us. We and they stood momionless for 2 to 3 minutes.
My light was just far enough away it wouldn't illuminate they. We walked toward them they walked over the sand dune. We are spooked now. We walked down another 100 yards before getting out of the water.
Got to the car started it and they were in the road 50 yards away. I turned on my headlights never taking my eyes off them. Gone! Next morning we went back found our foot prints and walked down to where they were no tracks.
