Rumor has it that long time ago there was a man who was robbed and killed. He was thrown into Haleyville City Lake. Since that happened there have been several sightings of this man by the lake shore in the early morning hours especially during the winter months.
It is not certain whether the sightings are more frequent in the winter because he shows up more often then or if it is the cold weather that makes it easier to see him in some way. Whatever
