There's a statue of local boxing hero Joe Louis in LaFayette. There's a haunting right at the statue, no it's not the ghost of Joe Louis. This is a much older ghost that was there before the statue was erected in Joe's honor. I'm just telling you about the statue because it makes it easy to find the ghost.
Right in front of the statue you can sometimes see a mist appear and take the shape of a person and then disintegrate and disappear. This has been going on

for as long as the town has been here, perhaps longer. No one knows for sure.
