My grandma lives on Catawba Street and when I would spend the night at her house. I would also hear someone walking through the house and I would often hear something like a scratching sound coming from the back door.
We would check to see if anything was back on the back porch and nothing would be. We even put a baby gate up to keep anything out such as a dog or anything in that nature that could scratch at the door.

In the early 1990's I lived in a house in Lockhart on Seminole St. This street was also known as ''Silk Stocking Avenue'' in the early part of the twentieth century because the owners and management families for the Lockhart Lumber Company lived there.
I loved it, the house was large and comfortable the neighborhood and neighbors so settled and friendly plus the school was just right across the street. But every Friday night the oddest thing would happen.
My sons were teenagers at the time so they would be out for the evening and it would only be my husband and me at home. At precisely 11 pm we would hear the back door (which was closed and locked) open and footsteps come through the kitchen and go into the bathroom.
