I must have inherited some strange DNA from my Mother. She spent her teenage years with an aunt who lived on St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans. In those days there was no TV, so people spent their time calling up spirits and having séances. While at the Richards Home and Museum (DAR House) upstairs and looking out a window, a very strange foreboding feeling came over me.
Soon after the tour guide told of a ghost that was known to stand in front

of and look out that very same window. Weeks later while at the public library I was pulled like a magnet over to a bookshelf where my hand randomly removed

a book about ghosts of Mobile. Sure enough the story of that ghost was in the book. It frightened me, so I swore to never return to that house because spirits have been known to follow you home. My late mother had also instructed me as a child that delving into the spirit world was a very sinful thing to do.
