I've been very close to the supernatural throughout my life and to be honest what used to be a fear of the other side has become something of a unique interest. I'm lucky enough to have a close friend who shares similar experiences and a similar interest.

So one night a few months ago me and my boyfriend and she and her husband decided to check out what could possibly go on in Dawes Cemetery at night. Those poor young men we dragged along! My boyfriend didn't believe in ghosts but was open minded enough to go just to make me happy and her husband in an attempt to seem lion hearted tagged along with enthusiasm despite his ignorance.

We brought along with us some cameras and flashlights obviously nothing too fancy. But by the end of the night we were certain something very unsettling resided in that cemetery. There was no doubt something following us around.
We would all stop walking and hear another set of footsteps behind us that would only stop once they caught up. At first that was all we noticed until a dark shadow began making it's appearance just outside of the gate.
We would see it dart past and then disappear again. This spirit seemed much more threatening than our tag along friend and it would get closer and closer to the gate every time it appeared. Eventually I asked my boyfriend to go to my car to grab another flashlight.
