I have lived in Ozark since I was seven. I've heard tales of Dean Church Road Cemetery. Been out there a few times at night but never saw anything.
I've lived in several active places though. One that many people know of is what we dubbed as The Spooky House on E College Street across from Kroger Automotives. Things would move around by themselves. People saw shadows, etc. Last year I was at work, and a man I've never met before came in and commented on a donation jar we had set up for a family whose house burned down. He said he knew how bad that was because he had lived in a house on College Street that caught on fire and that it wasn't the first time that house had done that. He had been told by the owner that it had caught on fire once before that. I asked him if it was the white house next to the two-story white house and he said yes. I told him I lived there before. His eyes got big, and he asked if anything strange had happened there. I told him yes, and so we had a conversation about it. He even went out to his car and got his mama out to come meet me and talk about it.

I also lived on Matthews Avenue near the college airfield in a duplex apartment. My ex and I moved in and were the only tenants there. First night we were there we heard voices talking in the kitchen. We heard them a lot. People that came over heard them too. There was also a shadow figure that would walk from the bedroom door into the bathroom. One night I woke up and saw the figure and thought it was my ex going into the bathroom until he rolled over and grabbed me to him saying he had been touched. The shadow liked to touch, especially touch me. He liked my feet for some reason. It only happened twice like that for me though. He tickled my toes once and gently cupped my ankle another time.

When I was in high school back in the 90s, my best friend at the time lived in a brick house to the left of the entrance of Ozark Villas. I went and spent the night there, and it was just her and I. The TV flickered off and on and when we went to bed, there was stomping above our heads. I never went back to her house.
Another house I stayed at on Augusta Drive off of Logan Road also had the TV going on and off, and the back door would be slammed shut.
I don't know the history of any of these places. I just know what I experienced. Sometimes I wonder if it was just a trick of the mind, but there were people who witnessed this stuff with me, so I don't know. I just know that I experience stuff all over and not just in Ozark. Fortunately, nothing has bothered me in over a year, and I hope it stays that way because the last thing that happened to me was I brought a spirit back with me from Augusta, GA, and the house I lived in had to be cleansed. Doors opened but weren't opened and footsteps of someone wearing flip flops walking down the hall, but no one was there. The dog was growling at the flip flop noises. Freaky stuff. .
