In August of 1986 I had the privilege of visiting the great city of Piedmont, AL. I was 11 years old and was amazed at where I was staying for that week. I honestly don't remember the actual address because I'm from NYC. What I can remember however is the house I stayed at. It was a massively large dark and sad looking home. It had the strangest odor like old burning mothballs or something. For some reason or another I wasn't scared to be there.

was also a very small cemetery directly across the road from this house. My curiosity led me to camp out in this cemetery, but the other kids were too

scared. We cleaned the entire cemetery considering that we read many of the headstones. One was that of a baby. The thought of a child being buried there made us all kind of sad. Afterwards we went up the road to my God mother's cousin house where I encountered the first ghostly apparition.
My new cousin and I were up all night watching MTV. That was when there were no commercials just videos. It was about 3:30 a.m., and I had to go to the bathroom,
