I grew up in the village and we had several things happen in our house. Doors would slam, you could hear someone running through the house, it would shake the floors and caused lights to fall out of the fixtures.
My mother woke one night with a light shining in her eyes. She was the only one in the house at the time. You could catch glimpses of figures in the mirror that hung in our dining room. My sister would not stay in the house by herself.

of the houses near ours you could walk by and see an old man standing in the window. No one lived in the house; it had been empty for years.

Comment by LeMaster: I grew up on Wilson Dam Avenue in the village in Sheffield Alabama and would love to hear more. I had all kinds of weird things happen to me in that house since I lived there the first 20 years of my life.
