I live at the foot of the mountain in a white two story home which has only been here since 1997. But the land it is on has been in our family for 200 years. In our front yard we have seen a little girl around the big tree in front of our home walking around and sometimes you can hear a child whispering.
When I was much younger my mother would hear a little girl talking outside and would look to find me not there but outside. This is happened numerous times

over the years. There is a lot of history about the land we live on but everyone that lives here accepts her now. We kind of think of her as just a part
|
of the family, we think she may be my great aunt who died almost 100 years ago by a street car at age 5.
We are not afraid of her but she is there all the time, especially during the spring when the flowers bloom we notice that some of our Iris's will bloom, then later some of them will be gone. We believe it's our little spirit in the yard.
