The Alachua Sports Pub is supposed to be haunted. My sister has been working there for about 25 years. She's reported seeing pots flying off the wall and pool balls rolling on their own. This place apparently was a funeral parlor for the black community many years ago.

There is a road between Alachua and High Springs that locals call Witch's Road. When driving down the road you are swallowed by the nature around you, and branches fall when driving under them. It has been said that the witch has a cottage deep in the woods and is covered with vines. When entering the road at night the darkness surrounds you to the point the head light don't do much. When leaving you can barely tell that there is a road there. It is also told that you should not go out near Halloween or on Halloween night because that is when she does her binding.

Comment by Cindy: Hi, is Witches Road located near Exit 399. I had an encounter while driving near a road like you have described, but I am not familiar with the area. I stopped there for gas about 1 a.m. Well, my daughter and I both saw something massive float and fly across the windshield of our car. It had no legs and flew so fast. We did not understand what it was. It was just a black mass. I would appreciate if you can tell me if this is where Witches Road is, or what this road could have been. I travel to here often and would like to stop and look next time at the area. Thank you.
