My own house. I have an old home in the historic district that I will be restoring, and I hear someone walking around upstairs. At times my mom heard someone walking up my stairs but saw no one on them. One of my cats will hiss at the air and doesn't like whoever this is, yet I have seen my other cat up on her hind legs and playing with ''someone''. I have also come home after dark to find a light on in the living room for me. I think some pranks have been played as well. I have always been around paranormal and grew up in a haunted house, so purchasing an historic home in Arcadia and with its history. I just figured that there was going to be a good chance it could be haunted.

I lived in Arcadia in the late 60s, and it is a unique place. I had personal experiences with these ghostly phenomena. While the experience has never disturbed me, I wondered for years why there is such a concentration in Arcadia. In the last several years I started a novel with the primary purpose of offering explanations as to why. It pure conjecture of course, but it does offer some interesting possibilities. The book is entitled ''the Arcadian.'' I wrote it as a fun past time simply because I like to write. I don't know if I'll ever publish it, but those that have read it are intrigued and are pushing me to publish it. Only time will tell!.

In Arcadia FL in downtown there is a place called the Old Opera House. It's haunted by 4 men that had died there due to the WW I or II. The building was built in 1906 and is still haunted today.
