Hillsborough - two story older home with a poltergeist or ghost. My mother saw an apparition of a man. I heard footsteps upstairs with my father when we were downstairs. There was no-one there. Doors have opened, lights turn off and on.
The hairs on the back of your neck stand straight up. There was a man who died that owned the house at the turn of last century. We think it is him. He died awaiting the birth of a child. The upstairs end room is where the nursery was.

We heard footsteps going down to that room many times. Truly there is something or someone there. That house has two fireplaces, upstairs and down and this is often where I would feel most of the sensation that someone was there. .

My grandparents have lived in this house for years. They say there is no ghost but we feel different. Today we thought a real ghost was here in our house. We thought about asking it questions. Now listen, there wasn't any one in the house except us.
So, we asked it to show us a sign. Then the floor creaked and we were being as still as possible. Then my sister asked it again just to make sure. Then the floor creaked again and she started to cry, but only for ten seconds.
