I grew up a few miles from the Spider House. When I was in school I rode the bus and my bus route passed the house. I always got a creepy feeling just passing it. I've never been inside but after reading all of this I'm super curious.
A family that owned the house once while I was a freshman at Auburndale high had a son that rode the bus with me and I asked him about the house one day. He said a lot of creepy stuff went on there but it only happened very

late at night.
He would hear the creaking of the cabinet doors opening the back door slamming shut and he saw lights in the yard outside when there

was no one there. Whether this is true or not I don't know but the look on the boys face when he told me said it all.
He only road my bus for a few months then I never saw him again... Not even at school.

Comment by Kelli: My best friend Vicky and I did go in the old spider house before the first people who bought the old house started renovating it. We both can tell you for a fact that the old spider house is haunted! There's an old man in that old house that won't leave. The story from what I've gotten through the years of being in Auburndale my whole life is this. There were a man (I can't remember his name but a very influential fellow) and his wife. The old man built that house for her. She took sick and passed away leaving the old man there alone. He wasn't going to leave. That was his and his wife's house, and he was not going anywhere. This is what I have noticed ever since the creepy old spider house was there. You never saw anyone outside. After all these years look how many times all these good people who have bought and tried to remodel the old house have left, and there's a new real estate sign going up?.
