We moved into our house near the sports complex in 2013. It's an old home that belonged to my brother's grandparents. It has an efficiency that used to be his grandma's beauty shop. The house is bigger than anything I had lived in since an adult, so I was super excited to move up here from Sarasota. However, that changed the first night we had totally moved in.

When my boyfriend would work nights, I would be afraid to go in my room. It just had this unwelcoming vibe that I noticed when it got dark. I brushed it off even though I felt things, but we were committed to a year lease, and nothing felt evil. I just stayed in the living room till my boyfriend got home, and we set up
