Once it was a decorative knotted wheat wreath in the bathroom that fell as I was walking out. That could have been explained by some random air current. But it kept happening with pictures on the walls and other lightweight objects on shelves like greeting cards. The strangest occurrence happened when I left a novel I was reading on the bathroom sink cabinet by the toilet. When I turned to leave, I heard a sliding sound behind me. I looked around and

found that my paperback was soaking in the toilet.
About a year after living there I moved out and never had anything like it happen to me again.

I live down by Desoto National Memorial in Bradenton Florida. This place is known by locals to be a very haunted location. It is the rumored site of Desoto's landing in 1539. Upon landing he was greeted by local Indian tribes who he almost wiped out.
The park and surrounding neighborhoods were built on ancient Indian burial grounds. Many homes in the area are also haunted including my grandmother's home. Although the park closes at sunset I usually go to the park on foot at night since I live so close.
