Driving down Snell Creek Road in Davenport late one night around 1-2 am, my sister-in-law and I approached something on the side of the road. It appeared to be an animal that was eating something dead. As we got closer and the headlights from my truck were directly on this ''animal,'' it was startled and turned to look toward us. At the same time it stood kind of upwards on its two rear legs. We then realized it was a little larger than a dog. It had the

form of a large dog, but its head and face were not right. The head was larger than a dog's head, and its face looked disfigured, and it looked to be

snarling and had large teeth or fangs.
We only got a brief glimpse, and then we passed it. My sister-in-law and I both were in a state of ''what the hell?'' We began asking each other ''what was that? Did you see?'' As we answered each other's questions, I couldn't continue any further. I would never get to sleep that night if I didn't turn around and try to see what that thing really was, so I told my sister to reach in the back and grab the
