I grew up on Maples St. across from Gatlin Lumber. On several occasions a dark tall faceless being would come into my room but only as far as the door. I would call for daddy. He would say I was having a bad dream and would put me in bed with him and mama.
But one night as the creature came to my door I said softly daddy? And it took a step closer. Then I said daddy louder and it proceeded to come closer now right as it was looking down at me (it had

no face) I screamed daddy!!! And daddy jumped up so fast that he slipped on the waxed terrazzo floors and cut his head open on the radiator.
We spent

the rest of the night at the emergency room at Eglin. For years he told me it was a bad dream. But once I was grown up he told me he had seen it many times too. (he didn't want me to be scared) we moved not long after to what was once called Driftwood Estates and no more dark creatures.
