My husband and I were driving to Green Cove down 16 through Penney Farms, a beautiful retirement community. We were both quiet, just listening to the radio on a typical hot Florida July afternoon. We were cruising along about 60 mph and were approaching an elderly couple walking their dog on the right hand sidewalk. I observed them as we got closer taking in the details of their clothing and the dog.
As we passed them, I looked out the passenger

window and smiled, following them, with my eyes and turning my head to continue following them. I was unaware my husband was observing them as well. As

they were leaving my field of view, I looked in the side mirror, ''Holy sheet!'' I yelled. My husband said ''they just disappeared, didn't they?'' I was completely turned around in my seat now searching the vanishing horizon. I asked my husband ''you saw them? You saw that?'' ''Yep'' he said. We both had seen them and both seen them disappear as soon as we passed them.
