I once counseled a highway patrolman who happened to be driving down Homeland Road one day. He claimed to have seen a figure in the road. Apparently he drove through it, and upon turning around it was gone.

Years ago my neice and her boyfriend were driving down Homeland road when they came upon the translucent figure of a woman hovering in mid-air just off the road. She glowed with an eerie bluish color and her shape was contorted.

After they passed what was apparently a ghost they turned around and saw her again but she was contorted into a different shape. They drove past her 3 times before heading for home.

Comment by Amanda: I live on Old Homeland Road and I saw more than just her. I have seen children as well.
Comment by Lil: Aug 2018: The comment on the children. I've never seen anything odd day or night, driving old Homeland Road. My grandparents have lived out here since the mid 90s and went to the Catholic church where old Homeland turns into Kissengen. They have repeatedly told me a story of a teenager who also went to the church. He had just got his license and wrecked the car killing his younger siblings and himself at the bump in the road where the rail tracks are buried. I don't know how accurate this is as it's double hearsay or even when it occurred, but I thought it was relevant.
