It was about 1988, I was 12 years old and we lived in a mobile home about a block away from Immokalee Middle School. One night I woke up around 3 am and heard heavy footsteps coming toward me into the living room where I had fallen asleep.
Everyone was asleep and no one else could hear it but me and as it came close enough to touch me... It just laughed (deeply) like the joker but deeper and meaner. So I just covered my face with a cover until it faded away but I was fully awake.
