I moved to Lake Wales in the late 90s and lived on the lake. One quiet winter night it sounded as if I heard a young boy screaming or yelling and almost accompanied by thrashing in the water. I ran out around the house and could of sworn someone was out there.
The police came and looked in the lake and saw nothing. Two weeks later I heard about a boy who went missing at the lake many years ago. There is a charm but a bit of an eerie feelings around Lake Wales.

I have spent many nights driving around the area near downtown Lake Wales Florida but one night something was different. I was out driving around the lake when I passed the old park and I saw the strangest thing; there was a little boy out there playing by himself.
It was after midnight and there was no one at the park with him so I stopped to try and help him. But when I walked over to him he was gone but the swing he was on was still moving. I later found out there was a little boy who drowned not far from there and when I looked at the boys picture it was the same one.
Lets just say I don't drive by the park anymore.
