Between Lake Avenue and Maine Ave (a very short span) a figure appeared wearing what looked like a hospital gown and came very close to grabbing my hand. I saw the person had bandages on his head. I snatched my hand back in the car totally shocked. I turned to my father, who was so surprised, his mouth was open. I turned to look back immediately, but there was no one there.
We turned on to Maine, but then decided to loop back around, taking

a right on Warren, right on Lake and back on 427. No one was there at all. Today whenever I return home to Longwood I make sure to check that small stretch

between Lake and Maine while driving on 427, but I have never seen the figure again. However, in all these years I have never forgotten the incident.

I live in the Sweetwater Springs subdivision located on the west side of Longwood, FL next to the Wekiva River and Wekiva State Park. My home was completed in early 1989 as a spec home. It sat vacant for a while and then became a rental for a year. We bought the house in mid-1990. Soon after moving in I occasionally began to see a fast moving shadow. I have healthy skepticism, so I did not say anything about it at first. For one thing, the shadows moved very fast. So it was hard to be sure exactly what I saw. Secondly, the shadows were translucent. I could see through the human form that ''grayed out'' what was in the back of it. However, I could not see much detail.
