Been living in Madison over a year now and have seen dark figures walking upright crossing Livingston St. When I get closer there is nothing around . Granted it is 11 pm but there is still enough light to see.

In the closed down antique shop on Whispering Pines road I have heard singing coming from an elderly gentleman when I approached a certain cabinet in the shop. No music was playing and there was nobody outside or even around the place.

I hear a story of there being an old horse carriage on Captain Brown Road. You can turn a corner and hear and see it. Also I hear that on the same stretch of road it has been common enough for blood to randomly drop down from the tree tops onto passing vehicles with no explanation.
Some of the more common ghost stories around here are the ones belonging to the old Smith mansion now in possession of the local college. It was used as a makeshift hospital during the Civil War after the battle of Olustee.
Some claimed to have heard the soldiers walking up and down the stairs. Another report was of a man developing pictures in a closet in the middle of the downstairs room. He was suddenly choked by an unknown figure, when released he sprung free of the closet and ran out of the mansion refusing to return for his high priced camera and developing equipment.
