Lake Hope is the location of a local spirit that sometimes shows itself. People have reported seeing a misty apparition rising from the water and these people have all reported a sensation of warmth going through their bodies.
I myself have had the pleasure of experiencing this. I don't know what this spirit is exactly. Could be native or could be more recent. Whatever it is it is a positive force that the area is very fortunate to have.
