I stayed in a duplex on 4th Street in Key Colony. On the day I arrived I was in my room unpacking when I saw a dark shadow pass my room. A few nights went by without incident, but on the fifth night I woke up to find a dark figure standing next to my bed. I got scared and told it it could not touch me or follow me. I told it it needed to go into the light. I said a prayer, closed my eyes, and fell asleep. It scared the heck out of me.

I was fishing on the south side of the old bridge mile marker 63.6 when I saw what I believed to be a man dressed as a 17th century Spaniard conquistador talking to a young blond boy. I turned away to tell my brother 'look Alex, early for Halloween. '' My brother asked ''what are you talking about?'' I said ''that man dressed as a Spaniard talking to that blond boy. '' Again my brother said ''what are you talking about? I see the boy!'' I said ''right there!'' I looked again, but as a chill ran down my spine, all I saw this time was the boy still looking up talking to the air.
This is a true story as it happened to me and my family fishing the old bridges in the lower keys. My mother and I have both seen this ghost, and my mother has talked with him. If anyone else has seen him or talked to him, please post here as we would love to talk more about this. Thank you.
