Later that same night I was sitting in the same chair, and my mom who had recently passed walked right pass me in a long white dress. She said nothing to me and walked right out the closed front door. I passed it on to one of my sisters who herself is a preacher just as my mom was and who is well seeing, hearing, and talking to the dearly departed in this house. There is a grave yard about 100 yards down the road from this property as well, and my sister

is experiencing the young and old spirits inhibiting this home. My sister has had it blessed by several preachers including herself, but they continue

to remain not hurting anyone yet, just being visual and vocal pest.

Growing up as a young child in Palatka, FL on South 8th Street, I had more than my share of ghost encounters, and to this day they continue to attract themselves to me. While residing at there, which was back then known as the old Patterson house, we were as we thought lucky to get this house at a price back then, in which we thought was a steal. Little did we know that this house would come to be known to my family, one of the most haunted houses in Palatka.
As a child growing up in life, we all have had our share of the boogie man in our closets and under our beds, but me, I had my own. Shall I say more to the affect? In this particular house, it had me. Be it during the day light hours or the late night hours of the night, I (being a nine-year-old child) would have something come into my room at night accompanied with the wind of a powerful fan and with the smell of all things dead. It would pin me to the bed to the point where all I could move was my eyes, allowing neither of the other two occupants in the room, which was a very large one, the ability to wake up or even know what was transpiring. As I mustered up enough strength to force off that which had me pinned down, I would high tail it, straight to my mom's room.
