It was actually in Perdido Key Johnson beach 1985, my wife and I got a night permit to flounder gig on the bay side. Went about 1 mile, parked then walked about 100 yards to the water. Wading knee deep and no luck for an hour we turned back.
About 200 yards from where we entered the water -the moon was bright- we were still in the water she said someone is on the beach. I looked and said there's 2 of 'em. Black figures, my propane light is only good about 10 feet.

We stopped and they were walking slow at the waters edge in our direction. Appeared to be a man with a top hat and a coat holding hands with a kid. When they got level with us they stopped. Wife was scared to death.

After 1 or 2 minutes we walked toward them. They slowly turned around and walked over a dune. I needed 10 more steps to see them with my light. We walked down the beach and didn't see one foot print.
Got in the car before I turned on my headlights 50 yards, they were in the middle of the road. Never taking my eyes off of them I turned on the headlights. Gone! Now I am very curious rode to the end and back, we were the only car in the park.
Went back several times since. Nothing, anyone hear of anything over there please e-m irvingfalls@bellsouth.net.
