I moved into my house in Port Charlotte, Florida in December 2009. The weather was nice and cool, so I did not bother closing the back door. I just locked the screen porch doors with the latch locks. I did not have cable yet, so I only had DVDs to watch. A couple of nights I fell asleep watching them and awoke to the awful feeling that someone was in the house with me, watching me. I was scared. I searched the house looking for an invader but never saw or found anybody or anything. I am forty-five years old and not much scares me.
Now my girlfriend has moved in with me. Well about mid April the weather was still very comfortable, and the back door was still being left open. My girlfriend kept telling me that at night while sitting out back on the porch in the dark she was seeing a dark shadow moving about the house. I was optimistic and not thinking about my previous ''encounters''. Well, one night about 2 o'clock in the morning I was already in bed just starting to doze off when she came running into the bedroom. She jumped into the bed quickly and latched herself onto me. When I asked her what was wrong she said she heard a noise behind her. It sounded like my knees do when I get out of bed. She, of course, was expecting to see me standing there when she turned around. She was instead looking into the dark laundry room, and she saw two glowing red eyes looking at her. She did a double-take look, but they were gone! That was when she came running to bed! Being half asleep I really was not too worried about what she had to say. The next day when she told me about it I could tell she was really scared.

When the end of May came, it started to get hot outside. Now the A/C was on, and the back door was closed and locked. We were lying in bed talking. It was about 1 o'clock in the morning, I was on my right side facing her looking toward the door. She was on her left side facing me. The bedroom was well lit from outside by the street light. When all of a sudden I actually saw someone look into the bedroom from the living room. All I saw was the top of the head. It looked down at us and then pulled back. Not wanting to freak her out, I did not say anything about it till the next morning. I was not too scared at that moment which was why I waited to tell her. Later that same night every time I looked up I expect to see it again but did not. Instead, once very late when I looked up I thought I saw an older woman about seventy years old. She was standing there in the bathroom doorway wearing a white dress with flowers on it. I blinked my eyes a couple of times, and she was gone. I have always been someone that had to see something to believe it. Well, now I am a believer. Guess we will just have to wait to see what happens next.
