Everybody has heard of the infamous Devil's Tree here in PSL, where two girls were sadistically murdered by an insane police officer in the 60s. He hanged them from the tree and left them there for days. The foundation of his house still remains in the thicket of branches behind the tree. Most of you have heard stories about people being chased out of the woods, and that you can hear the girls scream at times. I always called bull on those allegations because

exited the trail onto the canal line. (If you've ever been to the Devil's Tree you'd know the tree isn't far off from the end of the trail. ) We had spent a few minutes gathered by the tree; there were four or five of us. As we walked out of the woods, coming directly from where the tree was, we just spent ten minutes fooling around. Only probably a hundred feet or less away was a blood curdling scream.
