driving past 12th Street and going down 9th Avenue North?. Submitted by Tiffiny

The most vivid paranormal experience I ever had occurred on the corner of 56th Ave N. And Hwy 19 in St. Petersburg. My boyfriend and I were riding our bikes home about 2am and encountered a woman walk across 56th Ave. by a car lot there. She was about 20 years old I'd say. She was barefoot in a long white flowing dress with long brown hair coming over her shoulders down her chest. She was walking slowly and seemed to be walking aimlessly as if not really headed anywhere.
As we got closer to go around her, she stared at us as we passed. We realized she was opaque. She didn't blink at all. Her skin had no color, and her eyes were dark & sunken in. We booked it past her and across Hwy 19 and to the other side by Wendy's (not sure if that's still there. ) We looked back, and she was gone. I then asked him ''you saw that, right?'' We indeed both saw the same thing. I was just wondering if anyone else has stumbled across this poor young apparition.

Fort Desoto Park is said to be haunted by a few spirits. Just past the toll booth is an area where people like to fish. It is said to be haunted by a male that only appears to women and likes to flirt . He has the nickname of the Flirty Fisherman. The fort itself was used a temporary morgue when the skyway bridge fell down in 1980. Plus the island Mullet Key was used as a quarantine during the yellow fever epidemic of the 1920s. To top it off an entire native tribe lived in the area for thousands of years then all pretty much wiped out by disease. The fact that this beach is so beautiful makes it that much more creepy. I have heard all kinds of stories from all different kinds of people but I myself have never seen anything. Except for an overwhelming sense of dread in the many long dark and narrow rooms in the fort. There have been paranormal investigators at the fort. You can see their video on YouTube. At one point inside the old powder magazine they got recordings of a voice saying ''hospital.'' I would love to see a crew spend the night there. Submitted by Brandon
