the lights on of course and saw my dog standing statuesque in the kitchen.
I called for her to come but she wouldn't move I tried nudging her toward my room (would have to go through the family room) and she shrugged me off. As I walked back into the family room she immediately turned and hustled to my parents room.
I went back to my room where I tried to occupy my thoughts by readiing. After a bit (the thumping continued sporadically) my phone

lit up as if I received a text. There was no alert sound or vibrate that I recall and when I picked the phone up I heard a faint noise.
I put it to

my ear and heard a gravely static sound with whispers and it stopped almost as soon as I put it up to my ear. This happened literally around 3 am if not exactly. I guess that it's called the witching hour? My gf got on skype after this occurred and we continued to talk for a bit.
While talking to her exactly at 4 am everything stopped. No noise no thumping nothing as if there was a timer set for whatever happened. I am sick to my stomach and am shaken
