We recently became homeless in Tallahassee. We found a seemingly perfect spot for camping, after napping in the afternoon. On the basically clear lot stood a beautiful but completely inaccessible long vacant plantation house. We set up our tent and headed out to make money. At dark, we returned and were astonished to see a light plainly visible in a first floor window. We investigated thoroughly all over the property, but there was literally no way

in or out of the house. The front entrance was overgrown with thick boxwood, there was an enormous oak tree felled along the side porch, and the basement

and crawlspace doors were blocked by vegetation as well. It appeared that the house had been vacant for several decades.
We walked over to our tent and lay down to sleep. About three minutes after settling in, we each heard separate, unsettling things. I heard five or six heavy footsteps approach the tent, and my boyfriend heard an eerie voice asking ''what are you doing?'' In the five or six seconds it took for him to pop out with our flashlight,
