When my wife, my one-year-old daughter and I moved to Florida we rented an apartment in Winter Garden. The unit had never been rented before. It was a new construction. We rented a first floor unit, and the unit on the second floor on top of us was empty. The stairs for the second floor apartment are side to side to my daughter's room wall. The stairs for the second floor are private; you can only enter through a door on the first floor. Strange things

started two or three months after we had moved in. I have always been curious about ghosts and the supernatural because of some experiences before in

my life. My first experience in the apartment was a rat-size shadow running side to side. This happened very often. I thought it was my eyes playing on me. I talked to my wife and I started joking about it, telling her that we might have rat spirits running around. Right after I told her we both saw the same rat-size shadow moving on the floor in front of us.
Weeks passed and one day my daughter was in her room laughing, so I went to check on her.
