My sister and I babysat for a family on Cortland Avenue and we all saw the ghost multiple times. She was a lady dressed in navy blue pencil skirt walking on the porch or down the hall of the rental unit (later converted to guest room).
Apparently the family saw her regularly and sometimes she moved things and hid them including a whoopie cushion (we think the kids' pranks were offensive to her sensibilities). Unfortunately the house will be demolished soon

and we will miss our navy lady.

We stayed at the Park Plaza Hotel; so quaint and beautiful. The second night just after midnight I heard the floor creaking; I opened my eyes and found my husband asleep beside me. The floor creaked like from footsteps for about 5 minutes seeming to walk around the room.
Then it stopped and a was quiet again.

The old harper's tavern building which was formerly oboys and is now boathouse/drakes is the home of a friendly little spirit. Out of the corner of your eye from time to time you can see a small shadow and at night orbs brighten photos and if you pay close enough attention can be seen in the room.
